1. Qualifications

1.1 Citizenship: A citizen of a country other than the People’s Republic of China.

1.2 Age: 18 – 30 years (Any exception, if any, will be arbitrated case wise).

1.3 Health: No infectious diseases or physical or mental disorders that affect normal study.

1.4 Comprehensive requirements: Well-mannered, friendly to China, and no criminal record.

1.5 Educational requirement: High school graduation is required before enrolling in September 2026. Hold a high school graduation certificate; Hold A certificate of the Unified Examination (UEC) of Chinese independent High schools in Malaysia, or a Malaysian Higher Education Diploma (STPM), or an A-Level diploma, or equivalent qualifications.

1.6 Language Requirement:

l An applicant for a Chinese-taught program is required to hold a valid Level-4 or above Chinese Proficiency Test (hereafter referred to as HSK) certificate. An applicant for a Literature or History program is required to hold an HSK-5 or above certificate. An applicant who graduates from one of the listed Chinese-taught schools is exempted from the above certificates.

l An applicant for an English-taught program is required to hold a valid English proficiency test certificate, such as IETLS 5.5 or above, TOEFL 75 or above, CEFR B2 or other certificates which can prove his/her English proficiency sufficient to meet the demand of studying and living in China. An applicant who graduates from an English-taught school is exempted from the above certificates.

1.7 All applicants for undergraduate programs must take the "China Scholastic Competency Assessment" (hereinafter referred to as the "CSCA Test") organized by the China Scholarship Council of the Ministry of Education of China. For specific registration information, please visit the CSCA official website: www.csca.cn. The test subjects required for each major in our university are different. For the specific examination subjects corresponding to each major, please refer to the arrangement in the "2026 Jiangnan University Program Catalogue for International Undergraduates" below.

Note: Students applying for the undergraduate program in Chinese Language & Literature can be exempted from the professional Chinese examination if they can provide a valid HSK level 5 or above score report.

2. Application Materials

All the following materials are required to be clear and complete.

þ A Color Scanned Copy of Passport (Photo Page, Visa Page if applicable)

þ A Color ID Photo Valid within 6 Months (JPG. JPEG. No Bigger than 1M)

þ A Color Scanned Copy of the High School Diploma or Provisional Certificate

þ A Color Scanned Copy of the High School Transcript.

þ A Color Scanned Copy of Chinese/English Proficiency Test Certificate

þ  The Score Report of the "China Scholastic Competency Assessment"(CSCA test) organized by the Ministry of Education of China and the China Scholarship Council (A screenshot of the exam registration no later than April 30, 2026. The deadline for submitting the results is June 30, 2026)

þ Financial Support Certification

þ Official Bank Statement (Transaction record details within 6 months)

þ Guarantee Statement (for an Applicant below 18 Years)

þ Non-criminal Record

þ  Physical Examination Record (Within 6 Months)

þ An Applicant for Design Programs Is Required to Provide at Least 3 Works of Art; an Applicant for the Choreography Program Is Required to Submit a Video Portfolio.

þ Other documents: An applicant in Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan who, upon emigration, obtains a foreign nationality or An applicant whose either or both parents are Chinese citizens and lawful permanent residents of a foreign country and who, at birth, is a foreign citizen (with no Chinese nationality) must submit the following materials:

l  Proof of foreign nationality (the date of obtaining foreign nationality is earlier than April 30, 2022);

l Scanned copies of the entry and exit records of the passport from April 30, 2022 to the time of application submission (meeting the requirement of having actually resided abroad for more than two years, and having actually resided abroad for nine months within one year can be counted as one year)

Note: Applicants who have obtained foreign nationality through immigration must also submit the proof documents of obtaining foreign nationality and the proof materials of cancellation of Chinese nationality.

l Non-Chinese or Non-English documents are required for attachment of Chinese or English translation either notarized or issued by the original organization.

l All the above materials are required to be color scanned. They are to be verified upon registration.

3.      Application and Admission Procedures

Step One: The applicant applies on-line at https://jiangnan.17gz.org/ .

Step Two: The applicant pays the application fee(non-refundable).

Step Three: The university screens the applicant’s qualifications.

Step Four:  Academic review by the relevant major school.

Step Five: The university issues a conditional offer.

Step Six: The applicant pays the tuition deposit of CNY 3000 within one month after receiving the conditional offer. Otherwise, the applicant is considered to decline his/her conditional offer.

Step Seven: The university issues a full offer.
