This scholarship is a full scholarship program sponsored by the Ministry of Education of China and awarded to qualified out-of-quota African students registered in the Master Degree programs or PhD programs offered by Chinese universities in China.

3. Who Is Eligible to Apply

1) African citizens in good health

2) Master Degree Program applicants need to be Bachelor Degree holders under 35; PhD

 Program applicants need to be Master Degree holders under 40.

3) Instruction Language: Chinese/English

4) A minimum of HSK Level 4 is needed for Chinese-taught programs while advanced

 English language proficiency, as evidenced by a satisfactory and valid TOEFL or IELTS

 grade report is needed for English-taught programs.

5) The scholarship program is open to the African students currently enrolled in China.

6) Non-holders of other Chinese government scholarships

6. Scholarship Coverage

Tuition, on-campus accommodation, comprehensive medical insurance, living subsidy

 (RMB 3,000 per month for master students; RMB 3,500 per month for PhD students)

10. Kind Reminder

1) Scholarship winners are required to register on the prescribed date. Late arrival without

prior approval automatically leads to program registration cancellation and disqualification

for the scholarship.

2) Scholarship winners are subject to annual scholarship audit. An unsatisfactory audit result

 leads to termination of and disqualification for the scholarship.

3) Program of study and program length is not allowed to be changed in principle.
