On the afternoon of October 14, the opening ceremony of the 2023 Wuxi International Friends Culture Week was held at Song 1969 Museum in Xinwu District. The School of International Education and the People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries of Xinwu District launched the culture week as co-organizers. Nearly 50 international students and teacher representatives of Jiangnan University came to the event.

In the opening ceremony, wonderful performances were presented to the audience, showing the way of Chinese opera and the way of Guqin. Chinese and foreign friends enjoyed not only Xi Opera, Pingtan, Beijing Opera, Kunqu Opera, Erhu and Guqin performances but also the symphonies brought by Wuxi Symphony Orchestra. Beautiful melodies of world-famous classic musical pieces perfectly reflected the exchange and integration of eastern and western cultures.
